What this calculator does

This time-card tool totals daily hours across a five-day input and multiplies the total by one hourly rate. It is intentionally simple: it does not infer meal breaks, shift premiums or overtime rules unless those values are handled separately.

What to know before you use the result

  • Enter net hours worked for each day if unpaid breaks have already been removed.
  • The gross-pay estimate uses one hourly rate for all entered hours.
  • Overtime eligibility and premium multipliers depend on applicable rules and are not inferred here.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Entering clock-in and clock-out times as decimal hours.
  • Including unpaid break time in daily hours.
  • Assuming hours above a threshold will automatically receive an overtime premium.
